Manufacturer or model not found?
The list of compatible vehicles is constantly being updated. If your car model isn't listed yet, please contact us!
All information is provided without guarantee. Variations may occur depending on the year of manufacture and model.
Follow our 3-step compatibility check to find out if your car is compatible.
1. Are the necessary mounting points available in your car?
- The rear attachment points are essential.
- They should not be located above the trunk loading edge.
- The included ratchet straps have a hook at both ends, which you only have to hook into the standard luggage securing straps before tightening the strap using the ratchet.
2. Do you have a double trunk floor in your car?
- It definitely makes sense to remove it. This way, the space under the pull-out can also be used.
- Of course, you can also leave the double bottom in.
- You can adjust the height to the loading edge using the Traveler's height-adjustable feet (up to 18 cm).
3. Check the dimensions of your trunk
All you need is a ruler and a large rectangular cardboard box or 2 carpenter's squares and a little tape - and off you go.
3A - The maximum width between the wheel arches
- mini: min. 92 cm
- compact: min. 92 cm
- regular: min. 92 cm
- maxi: min. 112 cm
- max: min. 112 cm
3B - The relative depth of the trunk.
- Because the distance between the rear seats and the trunk lid usually decreases towards the top, measure about 25 cm above the loading edge of the trunk.
- The easiest way to do this is to fold down part of the back seat and attach a corresponding marking to the trunk lid and back seat, e.g. with masking tape.
- mini: min. 65 cm
- compact: min. 80 cm
- regular: min. 90 cm
- maxi: min. 80 cm
- max: min. 90 cm
The next measurement check is only relevant for you if you want to order the Traveler with camping boxes - our recommendation to get the most out of the Traveler!
3C - The usable height:
- The shape of the tailgate makes it a bit challenging now, but don't worry, you can do it!
- To ensure the trunk still closes when the camping boxes are mounted on the pull-out tray, you need some clearance between the outer corners of the boxes and the sloping tailgate. Here's the easiest way to do it:
- Determine the vertical axis of an outer corner of the box. Easy:
- mini: min. 60 cm
- compact : min. 60 cm
- Regular : min. 62 cm
- maxi: min. 63 cm
- max : min 63 cm
a) Measure from the center of the trunk outwards.
- mini : min. 44.5 cm
- compact : min. 44.5 cm
- Regular : min. 44.5 cm
- maxi : min. 54.5 cm
- max : min. 54.5 cm
b) Measure from the closed trunk lid to the rear
mini : min. 13.5 cm- compact : min. 13.5 cm
- Regular : min. 18.5 cm
- maxi : min. 9.5 cm
- max : min. 9.5 cm
Mark the point where *a and *b meet.
c) Measure at right angles to the trunk floor up to the window.
To do this, you can use the largest possible right-angled cube (cardboard box). (We prefer to use two carpenter's squares, which we fix together with adhesive tape). Place it on the boot floor so that one corner is positioned at the point you marked earlier.
Measure the distance between the loading edge and the tailgate/window along the vertical edge.
mini: min. 60 cm
compact: min. 60 cm
regular: min. 62 cm
maxi: min. 63 cm
max: min. 63 cm
3D - The opening of the side flaps
- To ensure that the side flaps of the camping boxes open completely when the Traveler is extended and can be used as an additional work surface, check one last measurement: the distance between the front edge of the extension and the rear edge of the rear light .
- To do this, measure 3 cm back from the inside surface of the closed trunk lid and mark the point on the trunk floor with a piece of masking tape. This is roughly where the front edge of the pull-out will need to be placed later.
- Determine the distance from the previously determined point to the rear edge of the tail light.
- The same measurement applies to all models.
- all : max. 16.5 cm
